What to Expect from Your Botox® Treatment
When you arrive at Elevate Medical Aesthetics and Wellness, you’ll begin with filling out some paperwork, followed by a series of photographs to add to your medical chart. Marti will then review the informed consent with you and answer any questions you may have. Together, you will formulate a personalized treatment plan, and then the injections will begin. The entire procedure typically takes 20-30 minutes.
There is no social downtime with Botox®, so you can immediately resume your normal activities. While minor swelling, bruising, and redness at the injection site may occur for 24-72 hours, these side effects usually subside within 20 minutes. However, to ensure the best results, avoid aggressively touching your face for at least 24 hours. Additionally, we recommend staying upright for four hours, avoiding makeup application for the rest of the day, refraining from strenuous exercise for 48 hours, and avoiding tight hats, ski goggles, or swim goggles for several days.
How Long Does Botox® Last?
The effects of Botox® gradually wear off over three to four months. As the treatment begins to fade, you can return to Elevate Medical Aesthetics for maintenance treatments. Since Botox® is safe and effective, you can schedule these treatments three to four times per year to maintain your desired results.
